Past Issue

Starting from middle of 12/2012, customers may experience bad quality calls (no sound/one way sound/frequently dropped calls) to a small number of China destinations that due to a major carrier’s instability.  If you have experienced such bad quality calls, please let us know the destinations.  We are adjusting our system to improve the quality, and it may take a few weeks to finish the adjustment.

Please understand that we try our best to provide the best possible quality at the lowest possible rate.  We suggest users to stay with us as your balance with us never expires.   We do provide 100% refund of the remaining balance in case you need a refund.  Due to the overhead involved with a refund,  the refund will be issued within 7 days.

Our system has been running properly in the past two weeks.   Please continue reporting bad quality calls if any, as our system cannot reliably tell if a short call is a failed one due to bad quality or just a normal short call.  Reporting bad quality calls helps other Talk86 users as well.   In case you are not satisfied, please send us a refund request, and we are very glad to refund the remaining balance.  (If you have sent a refund request, but didn’t get a refund within 7 days, please let us know.  Note that if you have made any calls after the refund request was sent, you may have to wait for up to 7 days after your last call with Talk86.   Please rest assured; refund is guaranteed with Talk86.)

Our statistics showed that more than 95% calls are routed reliably.  However, if you hit a calling issue again, please report to us, or just call the same number a few more times.  We have deployed a subsystem to identify the potential bad calls and adjust the routing algorithm accordingly.  Please note that we are in the process of providing higher grade of carriers to residential users at a little bit higher rate (1.1c/min to 2.5c/min, depending on your budget, and you always have the choice to choose our 0.9c/min standard rate.  Our premium carriers will deliver your calling ID reliably to all over the world.).   If you’d like to give it a try, please let us know.

Thanks for all users who report destinations with calling quality issues.  We have moved traffic to those destinations to some other carriers that should provide better qualities.  Please help report calling issues (the destination and the time you placed the call) if you see any bad quality calls.
